Marine Forecast
Synopsis: Tight pressure gradient across the region will persist today with a surface low over the Plains and high pressure just off the Atlantic coast. The result will be moderate and gusty south winds. With warm moist air moving over relatively cooler Gulf shelf water, there will be the potential for at-least patchy sea fog through Wednesday morning over the near shore waters. A cold front will near the coastal waters late Wednesday into Thursday with south winds decreasing slightly as the pressure gradient relaxes. The front will also bring a chance for showers and a few thunderstorms.
