Synopsis: High pressure will continue to shift east of the area tonight, but will persist near the mid Atlantic and southeast U.S. coast through late Thursday. A strong low pressure area and associated cold front will move west to east across the central Gulf coast region late Thursday night through Friday. High pressure will slowly settle over the northern gulf by the end of the week.
